Our menu has undergone some minor changes with a few additions that we wanted to highlight. We do our best to keep up with the demands of the ‘times’ while maintaining a level of product integrity and staying true to the traditions in what we do best – offering a modern infusion of high quality authentic French fare in a casual, welcoming and warm cafe atmosphere.

Buttery, f lakey puff pastry offered in two different flavor combinations…
- Tomato Mozzarella
- Black Forest Ham & Mushroom
We’ve also added a new Omelet…. Smoked Salmon, Herbed Cream Cheese & Avocado
Champagne Favorites Icon
We’ve added an icon to call attention to some of our signature Champagne favorites. The icon is a fleur de lys (yep, apparently there are several different ways to spell it) , which has slowly become a part of our brand identity. Our hope with this symbol is to highlight our stand-out items to new and existing customers. The Champagne Favorites were not only items we felt that we do well, but more importantly they’re our top sellers… which are obviously chosen by you, our customers.
Not on the Menu, but in the Showcase… We just launched our newest addition to our sweet treats, the Almond Flax Cranberry Muffin. Made with flax meal and flax seeds, moist and delicious, our goal was to introduce a healthy option to our pastry case.

A recent salmonella scare with shell eggs was enough for Champagne to take further measures in ensuring the quality and safety of our menu items that contain eggs.
While we’ve always done our best to provide quality ingredients, our Food & Beverage Director worked quickly to supply all of our cafes with pasteurized shell eggs from Davidson’s Safest Choice. What are the benefits? Well, here are a few…
- Eggs from these hens are all vegetarian fed without the use of hormones, antibiotics or animal by-products (insert sigh of relief!)
- Certified Kosher
- Special measures are taken to prevent cross contamination and lock in freshness
- Taste Winner: Chefs in America Foundation Gold Medal of Excellence in Taste 2005, 2006, 2007

Since gluten intolerance and celiac disease have become an increased concern for so many people, we’ve put together a list of items that are considered “gluten free”. It is important to remember however, that our environment cannot be considered a gluten free environment. Afterall, we are a French bakery. However, we want our gluten sensitive guests to see that they have options when dining with us. Our Food & Beverage Director verified this information against several resources including the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center.
Here’s the list:
Breakfast
- Any omelet *request no bread
- Two Eggs Any style *request no bread
- Oatmeal *if oats are ok with your diet (our oatmeal NOT certified gluten free)
- Vanilla Yogurt Parfait *if you’re ok with granola (our oats are NOT certified gluten free)
- Fruit Salad
Gluten Free Salads
- All of our salads can be made gluten free, just request no bread or croutons. Request either the following salad dressings: Dijon Vinaigrette, Balsamic Vinaigrette and our French Curry
Gluten Free Soups
- Tomato Basil
- Potato Leek (when available as a special)
- Butternut Squash (when available as a special)
Gluten Free Desserts
- Creme Brulee
- Chocolate Mousse
- Any of our Meringues

As most of you know, we launched a new catering menu a few weeks ago that we’re really excited about. Has anyone tried it out?

This new menu is just in time for the upcoming holiday season! There are solutions for any holiday party from canape trays, bite-size dessert trays and mini sandwich platters. The trays themselves are simple and elegant enough to fit into any table setting…just remove the lid and place on the table. So keep us in mind for your celebrations as the holiday season approaches.

As you can see we’ve launched our new website. We tried to keep it simple, bright and intuitive for you, our customer. The catering portion of our website still has the old look, but will be switched up next week so it all looks the same. The catering side of the website just takes a little more programming.
